Transport:

Public transportation is easy to access and certainly not expensive. Commuter train services are available to every main city in the country. And for shorter distances public taxis (minibuses commonly known as “Matatus”) are also an option. The passenger train services between Nairobi and Mombasa operate on alternate days. These are overnight and depart at 1900 hrs to arrive the following morning at approx. 0805 hrs (First class (2-man coupe) and 2nd class (4-man coupe) fares are inclusive of dinner, beddings and breakfast). Travel by these colonial-time sleepers and get to a glimpse of game as you traverse through Tsavo – an experience to behold!
